The U Health & Wellness Exposition is making a grand return, set to take place at the Hyatt Regency on May 27 and 28. This year, the exposition comes with renewed energy and a stronger commitment to transforming lives through education, empowerment, and innovation.

Since its inception in 2010, the exposition has evolved into a significant platform that attracts thousands of attendees each year, including students, healthcare professionals, and members of the public. It serves as a hub for key stakeholders—government ministries, public and private healthcare institutions, wellness professionals, and educational organizations—who unite with a common goal: to promote health, well-being, and preventative care across Trinidad and Tobago.

This year’s event promises an exceptional experience that not only informs but also engages and inspires citizens toward a healthier, more vibrant lifestyle. The exposition is designed to be inclusive, welcoming everyone from health enthusiasts to those simply curious about wellness.

Among the exciting new features introduced this year are two initiatives aimed at raising awareness and influencing national health policy:

Youth Mental Health and Wellness Forums: These interactive sessions are designed to spotlight one of the most urgent public health challenges today—youth mental health. The forums will provide students and young adults with essential tools for emotional resilience, coping strategies, and mental health literacy. Importantly, these sessions will also give a voice to youth perspectives on well-being, fostering a dialogue that is crucial for understanding and addressing their needs.

Panel Discussion on Cancer Registry: Another highlight is a high-level panel discussion focused on implementing a comprehensive cancer registry as a catalyst for advancing Trinidad and Tobago’s healthcare system. This session will bring together policymakers, researchers, and healthcare advocates to explore the urgent need for a national cancer registry. The aim is to catalyze real policy advancements in cancer care, early detection, and research-based health planning.

The U Health & Wellness Exposition offers something for everyone. Attendees can look forward to hands-on experiences, expert-led talks, wellness workshops, health screenings, and product showcases. This year, the exposition will cover a wide range of topics, including:

  • Preventative health strategies
  • Natural and alternative therapies
  • Health food products and innovations
  • Technological advancements in diagnostics and care
  • Resources for chronic disease management
  • Youth health and family wellness

The exposition is free and open to the public from 10 AM to 7 PM, making it accessible to all who wish to learn more about health and wellness.
