Ángel Bello Takes the Lead in the Las Palmas Provincial Mountain Championship

In an exciting turn of events, Ángel Bello has stepped up significantly in the Las Palmas Provincial Mountain Championship following a stunning performance at the latest race in Betancuria. The talented driver from Tenerife, who is the reigning champion of the regional category, not only clinched a crucial victory but also earned a bonus for participating in previous races across Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura. This pivotal win has allowed him to ascend in the rankings, overtaking the former leader, Iván Armas, in Category 1.

The Current Standings

Meanwhile, José Manuel González is trailing closely behind as he secured a second-place finish in Betancuria with his Porsche 991.1 GT3, solidifying his spot in third place.

In fourth, we find Gustavo Bolaños, who faced mechanical issues with his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII yet managed to finish fifth in this crucial race. Completing the top five in Category 1 is Alexis Santana, driving his Renault 5 GT Turbo. Alejandro Suárez and Juan Lorenzo Fernández, both behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, are closely following the leaders, adding to the competitive spirit of the series.
