HiperDino Unveils a Modernized SuperDino Store in Lajares, Fuerteventura

This week, HiperDino, a key player in the retail sector of the Canary Islands, celebrated the completion of the renovation of its SuperDino Lajares store. Nestled in the charming village of Lajares, located in the municipality of La Oliva on the island of Fuerteventura, this newly revamped outlet spans an impressive 615 square meters and employs 25 dedicated staff members.

A Significant Investment in the Community

The refurbishment project represented a substantial investment of 1.5 million euros. This financial commitment speaks volumes about HiperDino’s dedication not only to the quality of its stores but also to the economic development of the local community. With a diverse array of offerings, the supermarket now showcases sections for charcuterie, butchery, fishmongery, and fresh produce, along with a bakery. Additionally, it features a well-stocked wine cellar, an organic range, gourmet products, a para-pharmacy, and even a sushi corner.

Shoppers will find convenience in the store’s operating hours: from Monday to Saturday, the store welcomes customers from 08:30 to 21:00, and on Sundays, it operates from 09:00 to 15:00. This schedule is designed to accommodate the busy lives of its patrons and provides ample time for leisurely shopping.

HiperDino is the leading supermarket chain in the Archipelago, boasting a unique position as the only completely Canarian company in its sector. Currently, it operates 239 stores and offers consumers an impressive selection of over 13,000 products, with 40% sourced from local suppliers. This commitment to local sourcing not only supports the economy but also ensures freshness and quality for customers.

Economic Impact and Employment Generation

The company plays a crucial role in the regional economy, contributing 2.50% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Canary Islands. Furthermore, its influence extends to employment, as HiperDino accounts for 3.02% of the island’s workforce, providing jobs for over 8,500 individuals. This robust employment rate signifies HiperDino’s integral role in fostering job stability and growth within the community.

Expanding Horizons with Online Services

Beyond its physical stores, HiperDino has embraced the digital era, reaching customers across seven of the eight Canary Islands through its online platform, hiperdino.es. Launched in 2015, the website offers the complete inventory found in their brick-and-mortar locations. One of the standout benefits is that customers enjoy next-day delivery, making grocery shopping much more convenient.

To support its burgeoning online presence, HiperDino operates two dedicated preparation centers for online orders and has established 34 franchise-operated DinoShop stores. This strategic expansion underscores HiperDino’s responsiveness to changing shopping habits and its commitment to customer satisfaction.

Commitment to Social Responsibility

HiperDino extends its influence beyond just retail. Through the DinoSol Foundation, the company engages in various initiatives aimed at nurturing the social and cultural fabric of the Canary Islands. Their efforts reflect a strong dedication to community development and support, particularly focusing on the welfare of individuals associated with HiperDino’s workforce.

In summary, the newly renovated SuperDino Lajares is more than just a supermarket; it embodies HiperDino’s ongoing commitment to quality, community support, and innovative approaches to retailing. As it continues to evolve, HiperDino remains a pillar of strength in the Canary Islands, fostering economic growth and enhancing the shopping experience for locals and visitors alike.
