Holidu has analyzed thousands of Google Maps reviews to create the ranking of the best-rated beaches in Spain for 2026.
Summer is upon us, and with it, travelers are eager to plan their beach getaways. To assist in choosing a destination, Holidu, the vacation rental platform, has sifted through thousands of Google Maps reviews to compile a ranking of the best-rated beaches in Spain for 2026, according to Viajestic.
The results feature everything from secluded coves to expansive beachfronts adjacent to national parks, with Fuerteventura standing out by claiming three spots in the top five.
- Platja de Muro (Mallorca, Balearic Islands)
Leading the ranking is Platja de Muro, boasting a remarkable score of 4.8 based on over 7,700 reviews. Nestled in the bay of Alcúdia in northern Mallorca, this beach features over five kilometers of fine, white sand with shallow waters that are perfect for families. It’s also adjacent to the S’Albufera Natural Park, one of the most significant natural spaces in the Balearics, known for its sand dunes, pine forests, and abundant biodiversity.
- Playa de Cofete (Fuerteventura, Canary Islands)
Following closely is Playa de Cofete with an impressive score of 4.8 and over 5,300 reviews. Located within the Jandía Natural Park, this untouched beach stretches to an expansive size and is framed by arid mountains. Its strong waves, typical of the open Atlantic, make it a stunning, yet somewhat remote escape. The challenging access ensures it remains largely pristine.
- Playa de Sotavento de Jandía (Fuerteventura, Canary Islands)
Another gem on Fuerteventura, Playa de Sotavento de Jandía, also holds a score of 4.8 from over 2,800 reviews. Known for its shallow lagoons formed at low tide, it’s a premier location for windsurfing and kitesurfing due to the consistent winds in the area. However, the vast sandy expanses also guarantee quieter spots for those in search of relaxation.
- Playa de Mataleñas (Santander, Cantabria)
In fourth place is Playa de Mataleñas, rated 4.8 and receiving over 2,600 reviews. This small cove features golden sands surrounded by dramatic cliffs, accessed via a set of stairs. It’s enveloped by scenic trails and lush vegetation, with several viewpoints dotting the coastal paths nearby, providing incredible vistas of the coastline.
- Grandes Playas de Corralejo (Fuerteventura, Canary Islands)
Rounding out the top five is the Grandes Playas de Corralejo, achieving a score of 4.8 with nearly 1,300 reviews. These beautiful beaches are part of the Corralejo Natural Park and are known for their clear sand dunes and transparent waters, with the striking volcanic landscape of the island in the background. It’s a favorite for surf enthusiasts, and from the beach, visitors can glimpse the nearby Lobos Island and Lanzarote.
